MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dr. Hidetsugu KOBAYASHI, President, JSURP

An NPO is an organization consists of those who wish to contribute to make our society better, act by his/her will and collaborate, without seeking for monetary profit. JSURP wishes to make our living places to be safe, comfortable and beautiful. And those who share the vision are here from the world. That vision cannot come true by the governments or professionals. It can be realized only when those who live and work there take the issue as their own matters and work together.

JSURP members are in action to contribute to build, repair, preserve, improve and enrich the places in Japan and world that are face to various challenges in the 21st century. Everyone is welcome - professional planners, community activists, city residents, urban walkers and anyone who loves city and community. Your participation and support is very important. I look forward to having you as our member.
